To start the New Year, here’s a ridiculously polished student spec ad (an ad that students create to build their portfolio, but that isn’t commissioned or affiliated with the brand) for Johnnie Walker whiskey.
Directors Daniel Titz and Dorian Lebherz are both are studying at the Film Academy of Baden-Württember. It’s incredible that an ad with this level of direction, writing, and emotional kick could come from people so early in their career.
The aim with spec ads is to show what you could be capable of, if only you were given the opportunity. I think a lot of creative directors will have their eyes on Daniel and Dorian after this:
