Flip reverse it

A fantastic reverse-motion music video for the the song Kolshik by the Russian band Leningrad. It’s directed by Ilya Naishuller, who is most famous for having directed the entirely first-person film Hardcore Henry.

Even beyond the incredible technique, there’s so much to love here – clever shots, brilliant storytelling, and even better casting:

Jacked in

I’ve been reading a lot of cyberpunk recently – currently rereading William Gibson’s Neuromancer trilogy – so the animated trailer for Wren McDonald‘s first full-length graphic novel SP4RX is right up my neural implants.

I’ve posted about Wren’s illustration work before, and his lo-fi style really complements the high-tech story. Wicked cool:
