I was a bit disappointed when I discovered that this picture by Eiko Ojala isn’t actually paper-cut. However, his process he does employ is almost more impressive – everything is drawn by hand, apart from the occasional photographed shadow, which are then all combined digitally to make the beautifully simple final image:
