I promised myself that I would stop getting upset by pretentious artist’s statements (the ‘pretentious’ before ‘artist statement’ is pretty much a given at this point), but here we are again.

Apparently, photographer Maciek Jasik is upset that the mystical f*cking qualities of fruit “have been lost amidst the clamor of nutritional statistics” …. “Each offers its own indelible powers beyond our narrow habits of thought”.

What he’s trying to say is he bought a few smoke bombs and jammed them up some a selection of the greengrocers:
