As a tribute to the cherry trees that were given to Washington D.C. by the Japanese government in 1912, Tom Price created this beautiful installation in the city’s Industry Gallery from polypropylene pipes and nylon cable ties.
In the man’s own words: “The blossoms are made from small chopped sections of pipe that are arranged on a large hot plate and melted together on one side so that they form into a sheet. They are then attached to the trees with the cable ties and suspended from the ceiling with ultra-fine stainless steel rope.”
Lovely stuff…

This is not photoshopped. It’s a brilliant desaturated Santa costume from the annual SantaCon:

Sigg Jones is a bitchin’ battle obviously directed by someone with a serious sneaker fetish, and another product of students from the awesome French animation school Supinfocom.
This film is made is a 2006 graduation project by Douglas Lassance aka Asterokid, Jonathan Vuillemin aka Motraboy, and Matthieu Bessudo aka mcbess (who is an awesome illustrator and animator in his own right)…

Jenny Burrows and Matt Kappler of Cargo Collective created this series of posters as a spec project for the Smithsonian. It’s a fantastic tagline:
